A blood test consultation with Dr Edward Williams is a quick general consultation during which our GP will determine which blood tests need to be requested for you. Only the tests that are relevant for the current symptoms that you are experiencing will be recommended. This consultation is essential for diagnosing conditions, monitoring existing health issues, and guiding treatment plans.
What is it?
A Blood Test Request Consultation involves investigating your past medical history and your current health state, such as organ function, nutrient levels, and potential patogens infection in order for our GP to request the blood tests that would be relevant to investigate the issue that is causing you symptoms or concern.

What is included?
In this consultation is included a brief investigation in your medical history, so that our GP can request the blood test that are relevant in order to understand your current health problem or concern.
What to expect?
During the consultation, that will last up to 20 minutes, our GP will ask you questions to help him understand what is causing you concern or symptoms.
What happens next?
After your Blood Test Request Consultation, you will be able to have your blood tests done at The Clinica. This could happen on the same day if there is no special preparation needed before the blood is drawn.
Once the blood tests have been performed, the samples will be sent to our reference medical laboratory and the results should be back in a few days. If the results of your test are all in the normal range or nothing allarming has been detected, as soon as your results are back you will promptly receive an email from The Clinica with a copy of your results.
If, however, the results of your tests show anything that requires medical attention, our Practice Manager will contact you to book a consultation with Dr Williams. During that consultation our GP will provide a summary of the key findings of your tests and their implications on your health, and will recommend any necessary action.
This following consultation, that will be priced as an initial consultation, includes a thorough review of your blood test results, an explanation of what each result means, and a discussion of any health concerns they may indicate.
Dr Williams will also provide advice on any necessary lifestyle changes, treatments, or additional tests to further investigate your condition.

If you need our GP to explain you the results of your tests, even if the results show everything is as expected, you can book a consultation with Dr Williams, where he will explain all the findings, to ensure you fully understand your tests' results.
Yes, Dr Williams can review and interpret results from tests ordered by other healthcare providers, and this can be done during a regular Consultation.
If your blood test results indicate the need for further investigation, Dr Williams will recommend additional tests or referrals.
If the blood tests that have been requested for you do not need any special preparation (fasting or glucose controlled intake), your blood tests can be done on the same day at The Clinica.
