All Consultants have been carefully selected before being granted “practicing privileges” at The Clinica, and have proved to have adequate insurance or indemnity cover for the provision of services with any details of restriction of cover.
All Consultants are responsible to inform the Medical Director of The Clinica as soon as they are aware of any ongoing legal action for alleged medical negligence, any previous litigation or threatened litigation in connection with their professional performance, or any criminal convictions.
All Consultants practicing at The Clinica accept that they will only practice procedures or techniques that are part of the Consultant’s normal practice and no Consultant may treat patients in The Clinica’s facilities other than in accordance with their specified practising privileges, nor may they practise outside the scope of agreed procedures or clinical activities without the explicit consent of The Clinica’s Medical Director.
Every doctor practicing at The Clinica is registered with the General Medical Council (GMC), and agrees to maintain full registration in order to have his/her “practicing privileges” confirmed. The Medical Director of The Clinica is responsible for organising regular reviews where each Consultant will have to prove to be compliant to The Clinica’s standards in order to have his/her “practicing privileges” confirmed.
